Advanced DermoCosmetics, proven under clinical pressure – MC2 Therapeutics has developed a new generation of DermoCosmetics for chronic itch, intimate itch, and dry skin—products built on dermatology science, advanced formulation expertise, and clinical evidence. Our approach begins with a simple belief: people should not have to choose between products that feel good to use every day and products supported by credible dermatology science.

Our portfolio includes both cosmetics and medical devices and has been evaluated in randomised, double-blind, clinical trials in challenging, representative populations: chronic kidney disease-associated pruritus, vulvar lichen sclerosus and atopic dermatitis.

Chronic Itch is the lead product in the portfolio and a clear expression of MC2’s DermoCosmetics ambition: a science-led topical product designed for people with moderate to severe chronic itch with superior aesthetics.

In a randomised, double-blind 12-week study in chronic kidney disease-associated pruritus, a difficult-to-treat population, Chronic Itch demonstrated clinically relevant itch reduction and meaningful improvement in sleep-related outcomes. This gives potential partners a rare proposition in itch: a product with compelling clinical credibility and a patient-friendly cream facilitating long-term use.

Why the portfolio performs: The portfolio is formulated with proprietary PAD technology™, designed to resolve the trade-offs between credible performance, elegant user experience, and practical commercial delivery that limit most other itch and dry-skin products.

• Deep skin deposition and residency
  PAD technology™ supports deposition and sustained residency of relevant formulation components in the stratum corneum. This provides an important mechanistic rationale for the clinically relevant itch reductions observed in the MC2 clinical programmes.

• Non-greasy high-oil-load hydration cream with proven patient preference
  The formulations deliver hydration in an elegant, non-greasy cream designed for daily use which is important in categories where many high-performance products are heavy, sticky, or unpleasant to apply. The near-zero emulsifier level is beneficial for sensitive skin and improves hydration as it limits emulsifier-induced wash-off of the skin’s natural lipids. MC2 also brings deep expertise in Natural Moisturizing Factors (NMFs), developed over approximately a decade and supported by proprietary intellectual property.

• Superior physical and chemical stability
  Robust, homogeneous cream formulations stay in place on the skin. They also support strong shelf life, reliable global supply, and commercially attractive manufacturing costs.
